    Default My latest creation...

This year my husband and I have a very tight Christmas budget. So instead of buying gifts, I have dug through my stash and have been working hard to create unique gifts for most of the family. We are buying some gifts because I have family members who do not appreciate handmade gifts. This handmade gift is for my niece. I hope she loves it! The pattern can be found here. http://www.modabakeshop.com/2010/07/oopsie-octopus.html I do recommend embroidering the face before sewing it together. I had a difficult time with the mouth but it would have been much easier if I did it before I sewed the body together. This was made entirely with scraps!

That is an adorable Octopus! Your niece will love it! It would make a really great pincushion as well!

Oh, I love that cute Octopus. The people that don't appreciate hand made items don't really know what they are missing. IMHO. Thanks for sharing.
