Great job, those are the blocks I admire but won't even try to do. I haven't done applique in so many years it would look disastrous. Yours however look amazing can't wait to see the finished quilt! Good luck!

What a wonderful talent you have with applique! Do you fill parts of them with a little extra stuffing... trapunto? Your work is fabulous!

Yes, Arianna, I do stuff some things on the blocks. Mostly I stuff the flower petals to make them stand out. But these flowers were done with the broderie perse method where you cut out a flower printed on fabric and then stitch it to the background fabric. I didn't like the flat look to that so after putting a little stuffing in, I also stitched along some lines in the flower to give it some movement.
I'm not quite done with all 40 blocks yet, Sewbizgirl. I have 7 to go. I hope to be ready to start putting this together after the new year. I don't think I'll have all the blocks done by Jan 1 2020 but I hope to be close.
