If I could've sewn the border all in one treck, it would have taken me at least 3days piecing, then one good day sewing together into border pieces. But when I miss cut a strip of the background fabric, it removed itself from the whole border. I then had to decide what to do. I turned to white background and made two corners with the white, the other two with the original background. It doesn't show well color-wise, but the background fabric is the faintest of light blue with small pinky-red roses in bouquets. The accent fabrics are a deep pinky red, and a varied green hand dyed fabric. The green also has splotches of yellow and sky blue in it randomly in the fabric. I did not cut around them but let them happen where they would. But yes I believe it to look very Christmasy.
Thank you all for the kind reviews and for viewing my quilt.

I started this quilt in a class at a retreat. We were given the pattern there. The instructions said to cut the number of each fabric and the sizes. Then you laid it out for 1/4 of the quilt at a time to sew it. As you got the quarters done you sewed them together. It went together well doing it like that. It is easy to get the pattern mixed up.
I'm sorry. I would give credit where it is due if I could find my pattern instructions. But can't seem to lay a finger on them now.
