I keep reading about "mug rugs" and now I see your pictures but I still don't know what they are used for? Are they place mats or large coasters....or what?

Lovely collection, 'specially the spiral runners...your colours are just great, not "run of the mill" - I am sure your work will do well at the craft fair.

Mug rugs are another name for coasters as I understand. They measure 6"x9" that I have made so not big enough to be used as placemats although you could probably put a small hot dish on them. I made them that size so one could put a spoon on it if they had one sitting on a wood table.
