I made a batik quilt for my stepson's graduation which was 4/29/2011. He is so proud of it that he actually brought it to show it off tonight to his friends :-) I am using it as my photo for now. It is a very simple pattern (Yellow Brick Road) compared to most of your posts but he loves it anyway. Eventually I will try something more complex...LOL

I would like to do a fancier tag...we will see...

IT doesn't look like YBR in those colors-I wouldn't have known, and the colors are great. It's no wonder he loves it.

Complex isn't always better. Pick the right fabrics and a "simple" pattern looks incredible. I love your quilt. The fabrics are great!

That is so awesome that he is so proud of it (I would be too!!). I have never thought to do that pattern in batiks, but it looks stunning!! Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE IT!!! There is such beauty in simplicity!!! And IMHO, batiks have a way of "showing off" in the simplest of patterns!! It's gorgeous....I get why he loves it so!! :)
