Happened to be looking for something else and ran across this on the Board. some call it a Twist and Turn D9P. Here it is called next generation. It says it takes the D9P one step further. http://www.lynbrown.com/magic-9-patc...ration-quilts/.

    The blocks finished are 6" - the quilt is 74" x 84"

If you go to categories on the right click free quilt pattern it is last pattern on page 14

I did not find the pattern on the site given above, but it looks to me like you make a "box in a block" block that you put together with the plain colors, making HST blocks with 1/2 plain color and 1/2 the "box". Disclaimer--I haven't actually tried this yet, but it seems to me it would work????

That link took me to the main page of her blog, and I couldn't find that pattern. But using a search, I found this one by the same person called "Magic 9 Patch". I think it is the same pattern that the OP used:http://www.lynbrown.com/wp-content/u...cGen-Quilt.pdf

I did this quilt with my guild and it is amazing how the same pattern looks very different depending on the fabrics used, some controlled while others were scrappy. Looks hard but is very easy. Some members have made several using the same pattern just different fabrics and they are all beautiful.
