    Steph-I can see why the quilt left your Dad speechless!! He must have been thrilled!!! What a great daughter you are! Glad you had a great time on your trip. Can't wait to see your URR quilt.

    Thanks everyone for your kind words!! It is as much fun to see people's reactions to their quilt gifts as it is to make them - well, ALMOST as much fun!!

    Wow what a wonderful job....my husband would love having one like it as he was in the Navy also.He served on the USS Iowa ship. We leave next monday for the yearly reunion...this year it is in Des Moines Iowa.
    It is such a pretty quilt, thanks for sharing.

    its nice to be able to make a quilt that has a special meaning to someone and even nicer when that special person is your dad...

    I bet you Dad loved the quilt. I think it is wonderful. the colors are just perfect and make the pattern just POP. Great Job.
