I absolutely love this quilt and adore English Paper Piecing.
I haven't done one, but yours inspires me.
    Great job!

I read through all the wonderful comments about a truly remarkable quilt. But what caught my eye was something else in the photo. Do anyone know what they are? sitting on top of the chimneys?

Only certain places in the US will you find the European style Chimney Pots! Remember Mary Poppins and Bert cavorting over the roof tops in the movie. Those chimney decorations are alive and well in U.S. on building that were built at the turn of the century by those who came from countries where these were used.

Sorry to detract from the quilt, but I just had to comment on the pots as they are something of a long time interest of mine as an antique collector. (I have sent Becca a PM and hope to get more photos from her.) Is anyone else familiar with these?

June in Cincinnati where there are loads of Chimney Pots!!!

Oh, I love your quilt! I have one in progress too but have been stalled for about a year. Have to get that out, now.
    Thanks for sharing,

The mere fact that you started this when you were 18-19 years old says that you had a lot of determination to meet goals even at that age. I admire that you stuck with this to the end. What a beautiful quilt you have to show for your time, perseverence and work.
