I think it would look simple and gorgeous! And don't bother choosing the colors, just add some neutral fabric- I love most white - and the color palette will look great.

Such a beautiful quilt, love the pattern and your use of 'plain' fabrics. Topped off with amazing quilting. What a lucky young boy to receive this gift.
