    Thank you.

I know about the monochromatic challenge from following Judy's blog.

Great way to interpret the challenge to suit your needs

Just needs a solids black border...anything else will distract the eye from your center focus.

OMHO, I'd do a 3"-4" black border & bind it in black. That would frame it, without distract from the rest of the quilt. I think as the edges of the quilt changes planes(go over the edge of the bed, from horizontal to vertical)our eyes perceive the difference and too much will be ...too much. But, that's just an opinion, it is beautiful whatever you choose to do.

    I immediately thought 'piano key'.

I like this idea, I think adding a bright pipping, between the black border and binding would really give it some additional punch! Your quilt is great - can't wait to see it when you are done!

I have a king size bed so I am wanting to enlarge this top so we can use it. I am leaning towards your suggestion, I have enough solid scraps I could do keys.

now I am considering a 4 1/2 black to get away from the geese and then 6 1/2 keys to enlarge the top. will let everyone know what I end up with. thanks for input- greats ideas- cheryl
