I had also found a local man that made signs, but I got my 4'x8' sheet of corrugated plastic for $16. It would drop down to $14 per board if I bought 10 or more.

I didn't have any problems cutting it. I just used one of my large rulers and a box cutter.

I would love to get more, but now my finances are so tight...

...did the same thing myself after reading a blog that shared the same tip. Isn't it wonderful to see your stash displayed?!??! Someone asked me if I organized it then by color...my reply "who needs to? LOL - it's all there!" Wish I had known about this way to store fabric before I spent a fortune in clear plastic tubs!!!!

I'm so impressed with your project- I'm still in "Tubs&boxesville!" Maybe I'll store my photo albums elsewhere and use my shelves for my stash!! Thanks for the inspiration!

Oops, posted too soon, here come the pics, thanks!

They look great. Anytime you want to come a bit east, let me know and you can make mine look as great as yours do now.
    Great looking stash!
On your way EAST you can stop by my house first and then make your way across Indiana and Ohio and visit everyone and organize us!

I started cutting using some kind of big "L" ruler of my husband's and an Exacto knife. But I just couldn't get comfortable with them. So being a quilter, I used my 24" ruler and my rotary cutter (with an old blade). Worked great~

Well we're a family of two people and five dogs. So I actually have one of the three bedrooms and the family room. I started with the bedroom but it just got too small. ;)
