I had a choice of quilt pattern for my wedding 41 years ago and asked my grandmother to make a colonial girl quilt out of my clothing scraps, as she had done for my mother's wedding quilt. Today it is much too small for my bed, a little stained and some of the fabrics are a bit frayed, but it is still my most treasured quilt (and I have many). I'm sure Lawrie will enjoy her's for years to come.

That is such a precious thing to do. My mother told me the other day that she has a case of scraps from our clothes (I'm 56 mind). You have inspired me!
