You Mom was more talented at 14 then I will ever be. I love the quilt!

Beautiful and it brings back memories of a quilt my mom had in the same pattern mostly blues. It was in my brother's home when it burnt. Oh how I wish I had it now.

I will take all of your suggestions and incorporate them into the label.
My Mom gave me a quilt top that my grandmother made in late '30s or early '40s. My Mom had it folded up in her closet since aournd 1975. I had it machine quilted because I know that I am not talented enough to hand quilt AND I have problems with my arms and hands. I was lucky enough to find someone local who let me use her long arm...you can tell that it was my 'first' long arm. Nonetheless, it looks better 'badly' machine quilted by me than it did in the drawer. Of course, when I 'quilted' it, I had no idea what I was doing. For me, though, that adds to the charm.

    Enjoy every stitch!

the pattern is improved nine patch .
Also known as Glorified nine patch. My Mom also made a double wedding ring quilt and a red and white quilt in the pattern of Drunkard's Path. Those 3 patterns are really difficult. She said her sister taught her to make them and she made them all when she was 14. The fabrics are from that era too.

What a treasure you have to keep, and what wonderful memories you will always have too. Love the colours in this quilt too.
