Thank you all for the kind words. I am pretty much a self-taught quilter and do not show my quilts much anywhere so I really appreciate the positive feedback. :D

I am taking my first lesson on an HQ at a local quilt shop this week and my plan is to work my way up to quilting this beauty on a long-arm. It is too large for me to attempt at home on my basic sewing machine.

That cat is a very large female. She is one of the most affectionate cats I have ever had and I have always had a cat or two. She is eight years old. Although she is my DD's cat, since her "mommy" is away much of the year at college, she and "grandma" have gotten very close. She is very good company.
