    how do you do you Hexi's? I made a grandmother's garden for my son and his wife a long time ago and I used the old English method,using papers. I tried it both ways and that's the only way I can get it straight.

    I have a number of Hexagon templates that I can use. I cut out the shapes, plan the layout, then just hand stitch each hexagon together. This is the first quilt that I made that is an expanded circle. Most of the time they are a cluster of 6 with a center, then make the next cluster. When enough clusters are made then sew together each of them to make the quilt top.
