    BC -that's the kind of glass that was in all the original windows of our CT house. I'm not sure it 'settled' - I've always figured it started out that way! LOL. I'll have to ask some of the local historians - lots of the old houses in the area still have original windows. The windows have ropes to operate the sashes, and the weights are rocks! They're a pain in the b-- to fix! Our house was built in 2 stages: 1867 and around 1900. Some of the oldest houses are from the 1600s. The town was officially settled in 1788.

    BC - I see you lined the shelves in your gorgeous ''new' cabinet. Have you taken out the stash and lined the shelves in your 'old' cabinet?
