I'm so excited!! (Okay--who isn't when the soft packages arrive! )
dreamer sent me these links--so thank you, dreamer!!

These are mostly from www.fabricshack.com, some are from Suzanne's quilt shop--I'll have to get the website if you're interested.

    Everything has a purpose! :D
And for mini horse foal enthusiasts--there's something adorable at the end.

I'm planning on a black and white quilt with splashes of bright color. I haven't picked the two blocks I'll use, but I can't wait to start it. I think I'm going to add gray fabrics to it, also. I already have collected a few black and whites, and brights, but here's what just arrived.

Check out that one in the middle unfolded--it's one piece--but made of strips! I thought that would add a different dimension.
Here's another look at that one:

Here's a close up of the others--same as above. I'm a little concerned about the one that's slightly creamy looking--as I want white, but I'll see how it looks. Maybe I'll use it in a square with a bright yellow splash.

Here is my favorite black and white of all--oohhhhh, I LOVE this one!!

I thought this one would add a different look, but I'm not sure I'm going to use it for this particular quilt--I'll think on it. It almost needs blocks/ wall hanging of its own--with rainbow splashes.

Okay--here are some splashes!! They look so awesome on the above pieces!! :D :D :D

Some others--this is a reddish flannel for upcoming raggeds, and a cotton fall one to boost my scrap fallish quilt top...

And, last, but not least, a few select--very inexpensive, as in $2.50 a yard , florals. I have a plan to make a scrappy floral log cabin some day... and I needed a few more hues.

And look at the goodies The Fabric Shack sent along....

And, this is what else arrived today...new foal blankets for wee ones due in the spring. :D :D :D :D I tried making some two years ago--and they were a lot of fuss work and too small! I was happy to buy them this year.

At Jo-Ann's this week I bought four new rulers--all square: 4.5", 6", 12.5", and 15". I didn't think I needed that many, but they were 60% off! So--I brought them all home. :D

Right now I'm working on Mark's CW top. I have all 20 easy squares done, and 8 out of 30 star squares ready... I'll post once I have more stars done. :D Two more days before school starts again....

Thanks for sharing my excitement!! :D

Great looking bl/wh fabs Karla! I really like the one that has lots of different designs on it and then I got to the end....those baby blankets are the cutest things I've ever seen!!!

I remember my Mom made my 1st horses blanket (now I'm tearing up)...it meant so much to me (I was 12 or 13). She treated it like she was making the fanciest ball gown....boy, I sure do miss her! :-)

I'm sorry for your tears, sandpat. I miss my mom all the time. I just told Mark and Rachel I was going to take photos of everything that just came in the mail to post on the quilting forum because I couldn't go show my mom or grandmother (she would've been even more excited)--that you all would ooo and ahhh over them with me. Guess our moms are never far from our minds--even after 11 years...

I lost my mom in 98 every day I think of something I want to tell her, and I feel that sense of loss again...never stops...that was a big package. I like the blue with the flowers... :D

I really like the pine cones!! The liyyle blankets are cute..I had a big horse when I was young (er!!). My mom's been gone 21 years on the 13th. I hope my kids miss me half as much as I miss her, but she's always here in spirit!

Lucky you..lots and lots of very pretty fabric :D :D

Oh, wow - love those black and whites and the colorful ones! Trust that you'll post pictures once you get started with the fabrics.

Have no fear!! But, my next week off is in Feb...so it'll be bits and pieces of sewing until then. First the CW, then the B+W. I still want to make a pattern I got from gcathie too--Walk in the Park I think it's called.

My job is getting in the way of my sewing!
