I know that there is a company on E-Bay that does Featherweights in all different colors. I think the bid for the machine with case and accessories and new paint job starts at $499 and it has a "Buy it Now" for $650. I saw a couple that Lost in 51 did and Billy does a great job. I don't know how much he charges.

I LOVE it and whoever painted it did a fantastic job....even the foot pedal is pretty

I have a 301 that will need to be painted, at some point, and I love the red. Here is a pic of a 301, painted red, that I found on the internet. But now, after seeing your FW color, I think that this 301 color is too bright but love it anyway:

Gorgeous! I *thought* I didn't like red. But she's fabulous. Never get tired of seeing FWs. Congrats.

WOW - that 301 looks gorgeous, I love it too. What fun to see them in a different color. When I had mine painted, I requested the Lexus red. He said I could choose any car paint color.

Libby would love a new paint job, but I still have not decided if I will keep her after getting Ruby Jewel.

Oh My, you can't get rid of Libby, who would keep Ruby Jewel company. That is like saying you are going to get rid of your first born when you have another baby. You just can't do it.
    LOL

twinkie - you are funny but when it comes to our love affair with FW - you hit it right on the nose. I don't know that I will part with Libby - heck, she may get sent out for a new makeover :-)
