It's beautiful!!!! If not a hint, it's a pretty incentive to start! I wish for such a friend!

I have been using my fingernail to finger press as I go on small seams, think I need a wooden iron, works great on doing paperpiecing too.

It is a wooden iron that you use to press your seams until you press the block with the actual iron. They have been around for ages. If you're not lucky enough to have a friend like SSStitches you can pick them up any where they sell notions.

This is a beautiful presser. I have always used a mini wallpaper seam roller. Works well.

It is always wonderful when a useful item is also a thing of beauty and this fits both descriptions!

Found one once for a dime-people did not know what it was but had seen Eleanor Burns use one.
