I have a new one and I have had a tough time getting the threader to work....like twice ever. I just kind of gave up and thread it by hand. Guess I'll try it again. Other than that I love it! I also have an expensive Bernina, but for quilting, the Juki wins hands down.

I know you will love this machine - it is a workhorse, and does great FMQ :-)

hi, just found your post. I just got my TL2010Q Juki and I am setting it up.
I am wondering which presser foot are you using for piecing? do you use seam guide or did you buy 1/4inch presser foot separately? I was surprised that it was not included with the machine

my machine came with presser foot but it is not 1/4 inch, there is also 'Compensating presser foot' and it looks like it might be 1/4 inch but have not tried yet.
    thanks

I got my Juki TL2010Q this past Sept. It is a great machine! I bought a Janome 1/4 inch presser foot for piecing. But, I believe the compensating foot is a 1/4 inch...I had read that on another blog after I bought the Janome 1/4 inch foot.

I think you will love it! I use mine all the time and prefer it to my Janome 6600. Can't beat it for a 9" throat space and I do FMQ on it all the time. Fun to get a new machine!
