Question from a newbie - what is a light box table used for?

Its used to transfer patterns to fabric, especially for applique.

It looks as though that table could also be used for other needs when the light option is not used. Maybe an ironing table, or cutting table. I imagin thin, maybe 3/8" plywood, cut to size to place on top to convert to what ever the need. I used 5/8", 2' X 4', and it is quite heavy. Now I just need to install the light box.

    Great idea!

I use an old x-ray reader box out of a hospital...it works great but it's large and heavy.
