Bought one of these 20 years ago at an antique show for $120... Have never tried to use it to actually sew, but maybe it works... will try it and see!

I was at a fabric store on Monday and she has a hand crankers get together on the 4th Saturday of the month from 10-4 in Charlotte, MI. She said that you can do redwork on the chain stitchers. You stitch the design from the back and it looks hand done. I will be going in November. I'm going to take my Salter's Ideal Chain Stitch Hand Crank machine. She had never seen one like it. They have an expert that comes to those get togethers. Maybe she'll have seen one like mine.

OK, thoroughly "green", i don't have room to "collect machines" but I did tell hubby that I would bend for one of those, working or not!

I have 3, but none w/ nice decals. I love the bronzing on the WG irons. The 3rd base I have was repainted- black. Hope you find your perfect irons and cabinet soon.
