Default My new machine - Willcox & Gibbs

I just won this on eBay. I've been wanting one. Love the decals. It was described as a hand crank, it is not (there was a notation that it was pointed out to the seller that it was not a hand crank). I didn't see it until after I bid. Now I need a treadle & cabinet. I was not going to buy anymore treadles (they take up so much space), but it is so cute. I've already figured out where it's going to go. So, if you know of any cabinet/treadles that need a good home (no machine needed), let me know. I'll look until I find the perfect cabinet for this little beauty. The irons for this machine are works of art.

I purchased a Singer 24 which look a lot like this Wilcox & Gibbs machine. It was in a treadle but did not have a belt or a needle. I wonder if the Singer was patterned after the Wilcox & Gibbs machine. I paid $40 for mine and it has the cutest little carnation yellow and red flowers. My husband is doing some work on the cabinet. I will post pictures when it is completely finished. BTW, if you don't mind telling me, how much did you pay for this lovely machine.

Your Singer 24 was made after the Willcox & Gibbs patent had expired. Singer made it to fill that niche. I paid $134.98. Someone bid $133 in the last 5 seconds. Up until then, it was at $122. The limit that I put on my bid was $134.98. So I lucked out.
Sounds like you got a great deal. Can't wait to see pics.
