My New Old Singer
#1
I found this at a local yard sale just 4 blocks from my house. I got it for $40. Her husband put it in this cabinet so it isn't an original cabinet. Not sure if I will leave it in the cabinet or take it out and store it that way. I have a 1950s reproduction of a 1850s Singer that I use every day. I bought it for $25 30 years ago and it is the only one I can use for miniatures. My Brother tends to stick the little squares down into the feed dogs so I love my old Singer. This one has the same foot and basically works the same way as mine so I wanted it for a back up if something happens to mine. This green one works great. I will have to figure out it's idiosyncrosies because they all have them. But I am going to enjoy checking it out. Caroline and one of her grandsons delivered it for me last night so I didn't have to haul it.
I think I got a pretty good deal!
