    Very inventive! When I started using cone thread, I had a problem because the thread coming off the cone was too far from the first thread guide on my machine. I fixed that by taping a closed safety pin on the right end of my machine for a guide. No more problems. Enjoy your thread holder. You just saved somewhere between $15 and $25- enough (almost) to buy a new thread cone.

    It's actually a stand for a 1/2 yard of ale glass but that 's a great use for it.
