Don't feel bad, at first I was the same way but after I figured out how to place the twister tool it was so easy and fast. Look at the directions that came with the twister tool as for placement in lining up the lines on tool on your block seams. Good luck.

Try it in steps, do the blocks first, & get that step all done. Then cut out the pinwheel shapes. I did this one row at a time, then stacked each row in order, & also, out of what was left, trimmed of the squares, & got rid of the little pieces, & tossed border scraps in a pile. Once all cut out, then I laid it all out, matching up the pinwheels, & carefully sewing them together in strips, for each row, then sew the rows together & it's done! I pressed as I went along too, & I did do some pinning. That all helps too! I think it's hard to picture this, just looking at the pics, but one step at a time, actually doing it, it goes together great! So don't let it intimidate you, give it a try! I did the small block one first, now I am doing a wreath, love it!

I made my own template, from checking out these tutorials, & did my own thing, that works too!

This is the second one I made for my daughter, I have to finish the binding on the first one.

I love the binding added on! Am working on the two borders now, am thinking 1"wide for the narrow, & 3" wide for the outer. I like the touch the binding adds too, was thinking of not adding it, just turn edges together & sew, but may change my mind now, seeing yours! Great job, nice bow too!

Wow!! Watterstide, your wreath is beautiful, that border is great. Can't wait to see it finished with the bow.

That is really pretty. At first I thought there was no way that was going to turn out right but it is beautiful.

I love the bow, that just makes it. I quilted mine in spinning circles on each twist. You could always meander.
