well, you done good--it sure has more pizzaz than that first picture...& the legs are all gone--whew!
isn't it kind of like defeating the purpose though?
i mean you got something all sewn together , then you chop it all to HE--
and then you sew it back together.....hhhmm....sounds familiar!

You don't really have to buy a template, you can make your own & do this!

And yes, it does seem like it's defeating your purpose, at first, sewing all these blocks together, then cutting them, & sewing them again. But, very little waste with this method! You end up with all those little squares that you can create a border with, or, use in another project, so that's kind of neat. All I tossed was those little tiny short tails, so no biggie, & look what an amazing project you finish with, & one that looks alot harder than it really is!

18",as it sits..i am going to add a little white, and then a tiny, maybe 1" finished or smaller, red border, and then another white border..i think a small red border would make it pop!

thanks everyone..it was fun doing it all with you watching!
and actually with everyone watching, it MADE me finish it!!

isn't it crazy who we cut it all up, and then sew it back together?! LOL! i did save the center pieces..they are about 2", and i know i will use them someday!
