Gorgeous! So many hours of work on this one. Does the 'leg' of the R not show on the picture or is it missing? A friend of mine loved the alphabet cross-stitch samplers. Had hers totally finished and hanging in the guest room before her granddaughter noticed there was one letter totally missing. No correcting on that one!

That is so pretty. She will have a nice keepsake for years to come. My mom didn't quilt or own a sewing machine, but she knitted, crotched, hooked rugs, ceramics, and did counted cross stitched. She had emphazema (sp?) so in preparation for future greatgrands, she worked up a lot of afgans and baby items much like your work, but no name and date. She died in 2003 but left a great legacy. We displayed many of her items at her wake. I am the keeper of Nana's handmade items, stored in her hopechest, to be distributed when needed. My own 2 aren't even married yet. I'm the youngest of the siblings.
