Wonderful adaptation! I have quite a few collected but haven't been able to do anything with any of them yet.

That is beautiful! I love the way it all rolls together and creates a beachy scene.

I couldn't resist the cabana huts kit at Golden Needles in Rockport, Tx and I knew I didn't really want to try to do eight row by rows so I went shopping. I found the under the sea kit at B & B Quilts in Buda, Tx and thought, YES! Two rows. I also found the aquarium kit at Simple Sewing Solutions in Lockhart, Tx. Still, I wanted it to be longer so I added another row of cabana huts and the helicopter and balloon row at the top. All new for me and I wasn't sure I was up to the challenge of the fishes and sea horses.

So, I had a blast searching and finding new quilt shops. Three I didn't even know were there within 45 minutes of home and a new favorite shop. My first time with the Row by Row Experience and it was fun, fun, fun.

i plan to embellish this top with buttons; eyes for the fishes and sea horses, buttons in the seaweed, flip flop buttons in the sand, a crab if I can find it and possibly a frog in the hot air balloon when the quilting is finished.
Love your quilt! Very different row x row! Gives me inspiration to try it for a friend's quilt. Love how you "joined" the 2 hut panels together with the legs of the 1st row huts.

I didn't do row x row but I know a couple shops in Corpus Christi were participating; Heirloom Elegance and The Quilt Cottage. Quite a selection for small shops. Nice people.

I have wanted to go to the quilt shops in Corpus Christi, they sound wonderful online. DH works till about 1:00 on Saturdays so it's hard to get there in time. We go about once a month to Rockport, not far from Corpus at all. The lady at The Golden Needle in Rockport told me to give her a call when I'm planning to go and she'll stay open for me. Can't beat that. She had the cabana huts row. I do plan to go, tho. DS likes to go pawn shopping in Corpus, so if we could leave earlier... I live just outside Austin.

😀 Sure enough, the shine does wear off! I think I'll try again next year but not till then. Haha
