Default My nod to the Row by Row Experience

I couldn't resist the cabana huts kit at Golden Needles in Rockport, Tx and I knew I didn't really want to try to do eight row by rows so I went shopping. I found the under the sea kit at B & B Quilts in Buda, Tx and thought, YES! Two rows. I also found the aquarium kit at Simple Sewing Solutions in Lockhart, Tx. Still, I wanted it to be longer so I added another row of cabana huts and the helicopter and balloon row at the top. All new for me and I wasn't sure I was up to the challenge of the fishes and sea horses.

So, I had a blast searching and finding new quilt shops. Three I didn't even know were there within 45 minutes of home and a new favorite shop. My first time with the Row by Row Experience and it was fun, fun, fun.

i plan to embellish this top with buttons; eyes for the fishes and sea horses, buttons in the seaweed, flip flop buttons in the sand, a crab if I can find it and possibly a frog in the hot air balloon when the quilting is finished.

Your quilt is adorable..... love the way it looks like a scene.... sky above and under the water below.

I've been collecting the R-b-R patterns for a couple of years now and have had a lot of fun doing it. I don't always make them up in fabric.... but having the wonderful templates for so many things means I can make an adorable baby quilt in the future or do anything else I'd like. They are wonderful. Glad you caught the bug..... like so many of us.

Okay, great! Thanks, Lynnie! Will check it out! Looked at Hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann's but didn't find anything.

Never seen a row by row quilt like yours. It's really pretty.

Bluebonnets, your quilt is so fun! I have been working on a row today and it has a ton of work in it. I think it is my 8th row and maybe the shine is wearing off for me.
