Default My Omigosh quilt is done

I have been working on this pretty steadily since last August, put the last stitches in the hand quilting just this week. I used tone-on-tone, solids and batiks all from my stash, only purchasing the white, border, & backing fabric. The late Sue Garman was the designer, and I received e-mail from her shortly before her death with suggestions on how she hand-quilted hers. It has just under 10,000 pieces in it, and was a lot of fun to make (but I doubt I'll ever do another one!). The last picture shows a penny to give you a perspective of the size of the blocks. Thanks for looking.

    Love This!!

I've always loved this pattern - in fact, I have the pattern, but have not touched it. Retirement is soon now, so maybe...

You've gone over the top, though, with hand quilting! Wow - I can promise you that if I ever do get this one done, it won't be hand quilted. The color you chose for your border is perfect.

Thank you for sharing your gorgeous quilt.

That quilt is beautiful. I truly admire those of you who can piece such tiny blocks & hand piece/quilt. They say quilting is a dying art & I'm not sure about that but I do know that hand quilting certainly is. Thanks for sharing this work of art.

My jaw is in my lap!! Omigosh is the Perfect name for this pattern. I can't believe it has ONLY taken you since last August to do this--tiny blocks and hand piecing? I can't fathom your patience and speed. Beautiful colors, extraordinary work!

This is so very beautiful. My LQS has one on display, but yours is much prettier with the bright colors. And hand quilted? It's a real treasure.
