Very nice! I have yet to design my own PP patterns. Where did you learn how to do that?

If it can be done - it's to be found somewhere on the internet! I downloaded the QuiltAssistant, it's a freeware. I also found a small description here:

However, I had to do several tries before I got a pattern that had a reasonable amount of pieces. Also, the program cannot be trusted to 100%. In one of my attempts one of the pieces came out numbered in a way that would have been impossible to paper piece.

I also don't like it when there are big chunks of fabric which is not pieced so I'm going to keep practicing.

My next challenge is to do horses in different gates and poses for my mums 70th birthday. I'm going to get some practice there for sure.

You did a fantastic job with this pattern! I've tried a couple simple ones & always end up with mismatched seams.

Wow, that's beautiful! It is not as easy as one might think to create a pattern like this.

Wow! It's perfect. I'm impressed. I've looked for certain paper-pieced patterns and not been able to find. Would like to make my own, but I don't know if I have the patience, as you described some problems. You did a fantastic job. Best wishes with the horses!
