I received the quilt today and it's so wonderful to see in person. It's hard to envision how small the elements actually are because they look so large in the pictures. The feathered wreath is in a 6" block, to give you an idea of the scale.
I've been auditioning which fabric to use for the binding and I've decided on one of the mulberry colored ones.

I spent my toddler/preschool years playing under the quilt frames while my mother and grandmother hand-quilted like crazy. My grandmother probably hand-quilted 100 quilts during her 80 years. But this is the most astonishing quilt I have ever seen! I'm still new to the machine-quilt world and its wonders. The way the back came out, you essentially have two quilts. I'm speechless, and I would be in tears too. Congratulations.
I've always kind of thought that "true" quilting was done by hand, because that's what the women in my family have always done. After watching that video, I think my grandmother would be on one of those long-arms like white on rice!
