My quilt from my mother

as you can see, she made it for me in July 1998, sadly she passed away in December of that year :( but this is a wonderful reminder of her. She had made approx 4 other quilts that I know of and I will endeavour to get them online too.
She got the quilting bug after a visit to Maryland in 1995ish, and with little to no support in the UK at that time we had to rely on making do with what we had in fabric shops here, and also parcels of bits that my dad remembered to pick up on his frequent trips back to the USA.

Stuart how lovely that you have such a beautiful quilt made with love from your mum. I thought you had made it yourself on your other post, as we have some talented mail quilters here, are you going to have a go?? :D

A warm welcome from me to you from Nottingham, UK. It's great to see another male on the board. Your quilt is georgous, your Mum was certainly one talented quilter. So sorry for your loss, however it is lovely for you to have such a personal reminder of her. Snuggle up & feel the warmth from her & your quilt. :D
