    Several of you have posted pictures of your quilt rooms lately and others have talked about working on their quilt rooms. I wanted to share a few pictures of mine with you too. We had our home built 2 1/2 years ago. The minute I found this floor plan I knew that I wanted the bonus room for my quilt room. For over a year while the house was being built and I was sewing away in a dark corner of our den in VA, I was dreaming about how I wanted this room to be. It is everything I ever wanted--and more. Thanks for letting me share it with you!

    the reading and hand sewing area-sometimes my husband comes up here and watches TV in the evening to be with me

    another

    my design wall and sewing machine--this short door goes to the playhouse where my granddaughters spends hours when they visit

    my cutting table is two sets of unfinished kitchen cabinets next to each other, backed up to two more just like it and topped with a countertop. It is 51" wide and 72" long. My daughter and I scrapbook here too

    It is cozy and I LOVE to be in there. Even if I am not in the mood to sew, I love to just go in and read a quilt magazine or fondle fabric--and the next thing you know I have the inspiration for another project.

    What a beautiful quilting room!!! How wonderful for you!!! Thanks soo much for sharing it with us. I love the unfinished cabinets for the cutting table idea!! Quilters are soo clever!! :thumbup: :thumbup:
