That's a fine quilt. I especially like the bird and flowers on the right.

I became obsessed with it, JuneBillie! I guess that's the only way to get one done in a timely manner. Thanks for your kind words.

On Thursday (7/21) I will be passing through Hattiesburg MS on my way to a training session on the coast. I would be happy to pick up the kit for the hen row for anyone who wants one. It's $12.99 plus about $5 for tax and shipping. Just pm me by tomorrow (Wed.) night if you want one.

ALso Sewbizgirl you said that you quilt each row as you do...need to know how to do that. Please explain
I'm going to check with the two shops near me tomorrow and see if they have gotten a winner yet.

Barb, look up "Quilt-As-You-Go" or QAYG online. It will show you the technique. Basically you sandwich and quilt each row (or block) individually, and then join them up with strips. The strips then look like skinny sashing. This was my first attempt at a QAYG. Loved quilting the individual rows, but not crazy about the joining... I got to use up a bunch of scrap batting strips since my pieces only needed to be 9.5" x 36.5". I had several pieces about that size that I cut off batting for other quilts.

Very nice! Congratulations for an obsession well done!
And -- "yinz home?" --- is that another way of saying 'you'uns' or 'y'all' ?????

Love your quilt. Good job. I'm still sewing on the rows.
I like the way you put it all together.

OUTSTANDING! I love it! What you did with your licence plates is great, too! All different states! Appeals to the geographer in me. Thank you for sharing!!

Really interesting quilt. I love the license plates too. The whole thing is so appealing and you did such a nice job on it.
