I have been working on these hearts to use up my little bits and make something from nothing so to speak. I have done them over two years now so had to wait until I had enough green and orange to finish off my hearts as I don't use as much of these colours. My technical ability didn't quite match up with the task but as the sole purpose of this quilt was using up scraps I am very pleased with the results anyway. 90 1 inch squares in each block. I am now going to stop there and bind it in a small black binding and use it as a wall hanging. I love the vibrance of this piece.

I just need to add that I got the idea from a book I saw a few years ago now and stored it away for my use with scraps. It is called Folk Art Quilts by Sandy Bonsib. I have added the sashing and done my colours. Thanks for your comments.

Now that is my kind of quilt! What a great idea for using up little pieces.

This is so awesome. Such a pretty quilt and a great idea to use up scraps. I have so many scraps I was just thinking today what I could make with all my scraps. Looks like you answered my questions here with the hearts. Thanks
