I had originally pieced that one to use as backing on another quilt to use up all the scraps from the front and the LA'r said it was pretty enough to be a top.

A lady I sew with is a great believer in a box of wine while sewing. I don't know if she drinks the entire box or just has it in her sewing rooms. We all tease her about it. But honestly sometimes when I get stuck on something, I'll have something alchololic to unwind and it helps release the creative juices. Of course only in moderation and not while cutting.

I think I need to preserve this thread. Yesterday my husband and I worked in my fabric room organizing after our granddaughter had been here and (well, I'll leave out the details of why the room was in a mess when she left). Anyway Frank made the comment that I didn't have a bag or box available for scraps, so we set one up. But after looking at some of the pieces he threw into the bag I know I am going to go through it when we are done working together and salvage some of the pieces. I think I'll show him these quilts. Thanks for the inspiration to save more.
