Even though I haven't quilted since high school (LONG ago), and haven't sewn in 25 years prior to starting quilting, I had been sewing since I was in second grade. My first quilt was a "wonky 9 patch", this one is Sunny Days by Darlene Zimmerman, only I made the finished blocks 9" instead of her 6" to show off the repro fabric better. I did a post of this when I started, thought you may want to see the end product. My SIL did the FMQ, she did an amazing job.

This is a very pretty quilt. I need to learn how to "enlarge" blocks -- haven't mastered that technique yet. Maybe somebody here can tell me how to do that!

    Love it!
I want to make a retro quilt too. None in my stash tho, so will have to wait awhile.
