Hey, same thing happened to me, I did not loose a daughter, I gained a sewing room! The quilt is very nice, I like the crisp modern feel of it, kind of edgy, great for someone just getting out on their own.

Great quilt, it is very happy. I can't wait for my son to move out so I can have his room!! I've got it all planned out. Guess I'll need a pullout in case he comes to visit though.

Currently I use the guest bedroom as my sewing room, which by the way has had a total of 5 guests in the 15 years we have lived in the house. I will decorate it up really nice and make it a pretty room when I get my sewing room set up.

My daughter's bedroom has two large closets that expand down the length of one wall. One closet is full of shelves the other has the hanging stuff. It will be great for me to organize with bins and totes. First thing is vaccuming and shampooing the carpet and then I can set up the room!

I am going to have my husband create a design wall for me too! I am very excited and can't wait to start! But I am also sad my baby will be leaving the nest.

Another empty nester, you miss them at first then you enjoy the time to yourself(peace & quiet). It takes time, but you'll adjust, it took me about a minute, lol!
Looks like you'll have a great sewing room, good for you!
The scrappy log cabin is awesome, so contemporary!

I love the quilt!! The black really pops the colors! Thanks for sharing it. Can we see it again when it's finished? I know how excited you must be to get a "room" just for quilting!!

Congrats on getting space! I bet she is excited to have her first place. The quilt is perfect to brighten up an apartment. (Especially since the walls in apartments are usually white or cream.)

Very nice I like it a lot more than the log cabin I am struggling with now. Your use of space is very nice. I think I will start to count down the days till my oldest leaves so I can have a room also.
