Love your space and I love old houses, even though the rooms are connected they are usually big rooms. I used to live in a house built in 1904, sadly it burned a few years ago. I sometimes wish we still had that big old house. Really love your sewing space I sew in my small kitchen now.

Thanks, Connie. I looked at every design wall idea I could find on the web and settled on this one...it's just a curtain rod from Bed Bath & Beyond with clip rings (I bought two packages) and a heavyweight flannel sheet...I think it's a twin size. I made a temporary hem at the bottom with safety pins to keep it off the floor and slid some old yardsticks into the pocket to weight it down. It does wave around some because it's a couple of inches off the wall, but things cling pretty well by themselves.

I also went with this type of design wall so that I could use it to hang a finished quilt for photographing (DH isn't always available for quilt holding duty) or can display a quilt when I to.

This is wonderful. My DH is going to begin designing a couple of things for me for my sewing room and I hope soon.

You are one lucky quilter. Beautiful room even if it is a walk though.
