Have to see the finish. My boys and DH both sew. Found out recently both my boys bought sewing machines. They didn't realize they did it in same week. If your DGS can do this and teach him to cook and do his own laundry, he is good to go for housekeeping.

He's a real cutie.....my sewing room's been invaded also, but but termites....I'm so upset...Terminix can't come out until Thursday.....I cleaned up what I see, but I'm upset that they've gotten in my quilt table and other wood furniture....it hasn't kept me from my piecing however....

I think its great he's learning to quilt.
A couple of friends of my daughter's (she is 34 years old) decided they needed to learn after me making her a quilt and a crocheted afghan. So they are both learning, both men in their 30's which I think is absolutely wonderful ...

So great! I know how thrilled you are that he's interested and talented! I have a 13 yr old grandson who may actually take me up on my offer this summer to teach him to sew.

I do love a man who sews!
