    Good for you. PPing can be either a huge frustration or a delight of accuracy. Now that it has "clicked" , I look forward to seeing other things from you. Dresden plates are a great use for PPing, half at a time. My first 'serious' job was a Mariner's Compass, because a dying friend asked for one.

    Nice block. Paper piecing is great fun. I do like the look you achieved by keeping the background pattern going the same way. It would be so easy to miss that element. It makes an eye pleasing block. Have fun with your new skill.
