Default My Simple First Paper Piecing Block

I am so excited that I finally understand the paper piecing method. I have watched video's before, but last night I watched one that helped something to click for me. I did have to take loose one seam and redo, because I didn't have piece two up over enough as I did piece one. After that it all went well, and I had so much fun. I used some wood look fabric I got from another sweet person for the corners to resemble what would be on a barn since there are little animals in the center. You can see some strings, because I just took the paper off. My computer ran out of ink right when I wanted to print the template so I drew it until I print more of other patterns. There are erase marks that look as if they are wonky marks still there, but that is just how it shows. lol.....

I will make it into a coaster for my dear husband.
    Thanks for looking.

My husband just commented that the colors are not rich like the real block, and he is right. My flash is not doing well.

Thanks everyone. After I finally understood it, then that is when it became pure fun. lol.... I plan to pick me up one of those 1/4" rulers that help so much with it.

Great job! I could never understand pp'ing until I took a live, hands-on class. Then it all clicked. Good for you for conquering the technique on your own.
