Default My sister's quilt top finished

This is a quilt for my sister's new home on the island of Bequia in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a country of islands in the Caribbean. I saw a photo on-line that the poster called "Churn, Churn, Churn," but I couldn't find any information on it. It was easy to copy, so I did. It is an oversized queen that finished at 84"x96". I will take it home with me in April and quilt it. I'm away from home for the winter. I hope she loves it. I do.

Wow! That is very different. At first my eyes could not pick out the churn dash figures. It's beautiful and unique. If your sister doesn't like it, please send it to me!

What a creative use of colour/fabric placement and layout to create a striking illusory pattern! It's absolutely lovely!

    WOW! love it!
So simple in structure ... and what an impact.

It must have been quite a challenge to get the background fabric placements right.
Or is there some secret, for that, that I've missed?
