    Default my sister's "Witches" quilt

My sister, who does awesome hand embroidery, tinted and stitched this lovely quilt and I got to quilt it. I wanted to highlight the embroidery and do a dense fill that made the "floor" look different than the background. I used SoFine #50 thread in the borders (spiders & pumpkins) and Marathon #60 (not sure of the name but it compares to BottomLine though bit of shine)
I used a n 80/20 and then a wool bat so it got some faux trapunto effect.

Your sister's drawings, elaborated by her with embroidery and paint? They are humorous and charming--so much detail. And your quilting embellishments really add to it.

Wonderful work. You and your sister are a marvelous team for creating spectacular quilts. I really like the tinting with the embroidery- it really stands out. Your quilting is perfect for the artwork. Thank you for showing us your combined effort, we are inspired.
