    Default My Snowman Quilt

I just finished this snowman quilt. It is made with 2 1/2" strips. Mine are mostly white on cream, although the pattern called for a mix of cream and tan strips, I didn't care for the darker look. When I got the pattern, I did not realize that it was so big, I thought I was looking at a cute wall hanging. When I read it, I realized he is a 6' snowman! I work at a shop 1 day a week. Our wholesale supplier visited and was showing us new things. I like snowmen and was looking at this pattern. She offered us a sample copy and I said I'd make it. I used fabric from my stash. I did make the side borders a bit wider than called for, they are 9" and the quilt is 76" x 56". My LAQ quilted it with snowflakes. I'll hang it in the shop for a month or so then take it home to use in my xmas decorating. The pattern is "Rolly" by Deb Eggers of The Cottage Rose.

Love it! It looks easy enough for me to make, and I just might.
