Jim's Gem

Thank you everyone. He deployed last year. Got home in December. During his deployment they lost one of the helicopters and 2 pilots. He was in a small detachment with 2 helo's and 5 pilots and 5 crew. One bird went into the Red Sea and the pilots were killed. The 2 crew members on the bird were injured but survived. He flew with these guys daily and was really close to them. It was very hard. The one year anniversary was in September.
My son is doing well. He is not scheduled to deploy again in the near future. He does have his quilt on his bed in his apartment in San Diego.

He sure is pleased with that quilt, you can see it on his face. He looks like a very nice man, thumbs up to his looking after the country.
