    Thanks so much for your kind comments. My son is really drawn to the brightest colors and he also likes food fabrics. (He worked many years as a cook while he was in college.) He had admired some "chile pepper" fabric I had, but I wasn't able to find more of it. I just did a search for "food fabric" and came up with this. My LQS has a great selection of batiks and, with the exception of the black, the rest of the colors are all batiks. While I was there, she showed me the remainder of the collection that the pepper fabric came from and that was how I chose the back. Sorry I don't know the name of the collection. I named his quilt "Salsa."

    No thanks to the extra fabric--I have plenty. I always buy too much. I'm afraid of running out, which has happened.
