Your star is really great. Saw a web site once that suggested finding out what angle the star blades are (45, 60 etc), then just cut a triangle with sides that agee. Never done it so don't have hands on experience but seems like it would work. It seems like that last sentence could be famous last words.

Beautiful colors and it will be gorgeous when done. You can't avoid Y seams in a Lone Star, but you'll get it, I'm sure. Be sure to post pics when you are finished

I think your star is lovely. I am so jealous! I won't tell you the story of my disastrous star although I know you would laugh. Yours is beautiful.

Your color choices make it a lovely star. I can't help you in putting it together.

lol, my first one wayyyy back when it was done one piece at a time and looked more like a hat! It is still hanging around somewhere. Hehe, but yeah it was pretty bowed in the center. It was four 12 inch blocks I think.

Thanks to those who love the star and think it was hard, in a way it was, but not so awful. Once you get the idea of it all down and don't mind using a seam ripper!

The last one I did had the setting triangles, one sewed to each side of the blade, then they were all put together with straigt seams, no Y seams and everything matched perfectly! Love your star, it is going to be awesome!
